Let us stand together with you, John, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in His name. We are encouraged by your faith, and we join you in lifting up your concerns.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12,WEB). Therefore, let us put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11,WEB).
We need to remember that God does not always promise a smooth journey but He promises to be with us always. As it is written, "we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28,WEB).
Regarding your relationship to Elizabeth, it is wonderful that you are both striving together for betterment. We pray that your bond will be strengthened in the Lord, and that you both will be a blessing to each other. Remember that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12,WEB). We encourage you to seek the Lord together, to grow in His love, and to pursue a relationship that is honoring to God. If marriage is the goal, being in a courtship rather than merely dating in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up John Perkins and Elizabeth. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, and that and that you will help them with their relationship to you and to each other. We rebuke any spiritual forces that may be hindering their progress, and cast them back in Jesus' name. We claim your promises over their lives. Lord, help them to grow stronger in You and in their relationship.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. Amen.
John, continue to trust in the Lord, and do not be discouraged. Stand firm in your faith, and remember that the battle is the Lord's. We will continue to keep you in our prayers. Always look to Jesus as your salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
