We are truly sorry to hear about your struggle with pornography addiction. Remember, God is faithful and just. He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB)
Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved and also have any prayer answered. (Acts 4:12 WEB) As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Pornography is a sin against your own body, (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) and it is a form of sexual immorality, which is strictly forbidden in Scripture. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB)
To overcome this struggle, you must be born again and have the Spirit of God dwelling in you. Jesus answered, Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God! That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:5-6 WEB)
We encourage you to repent from this sin, cut off any access or means by which you engage in this activity, and surround yourself with godly fellowship that can hold you accountable and support you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle with pornography addiction. We acknowledge this sin before You and ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Lord, grant them the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome this bondage and live a life pleasing to You. Help them to make a clean break from this sin and seek godly fellowship and accountability.
In Jesus' name, we pray for freedom from this addiction. Help our brother/sister to walk in purity and holiness, keeping their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Guide them in the path of righteousness, and give them the strength to resist temptation.
We also pray that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they have not already. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise of forgiveness and restoration.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)
We urge you to spend time in the Word of God, pray continually, and seek the support of fellow believers in Christ to be an overcomer.
