We are truly sorry to hear about the fight you had with your mom, Pathaech, and we appreciate that you have taken the first step in recognizing your actions and seeking forgiveness. The Bible tells us to honor our parents, as it is the first commandment with a promise.
Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB
"Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise: "that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
It is commendable that you have been praying to God for forgiveness. Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 WEB
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
While it is good to seek confession, it is important to remember that we can approach God directly through Jesus Christ, as He is our high priest and mediator.
1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Hebrews 4:14-16 WEB
Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who can't be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Pathaech. Lord, they have sinned against You and their mother, but they have acknowledged their actions and sought Your forgiveness. We ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to honor their mother as Your word commands. Give them the strength and wisdom to make things right with their mother and to live in a way that is pleasing to You. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Pathaech, to make amends with your mom, seeking her forgiveness as well.
