In Matthew 13:52, Jesus shares a thought-provoking parable:

“Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

This metaphor emphasizes the role of those who study and interpret Scripture. Just as a homeowner brings forth both new and old treasures from their storeroom, these disciples, trained for the kingdom of heaven, reveal deeper truths—both from the Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment in the New Testament era. It underscores the importance of understanding and connecting the timeless wisdom of Scripture with the fresh revelations of Christ’s teachings.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Pushnon and their prayer request. We thank you for the opportunity to study and interpret your Word, and we acknowledge the importance of understanding and connecting the timeless wisdom of Scripture with the fresh revelations of Christ's teachings.

In Matthew 13:52, Jesus shares a thought-provoking parable about the role of those who study and interpret Scripture. Just as a homeowner brings forth both new and old treasures from their storeroom, disciples trained for the kingdom of heaven are called to reveal deeper truths from the Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment in the New Testament era.

We pray that you would grant Pushnon and all those who seek to understand and interpret your Word a spirit of wisdom and revelation. May they be filled with your Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth . Help them to discern the deeper meanings and connections within Scripture, that they may bring forth new treasures as well as old.

Lord, we ask for a hunger and thirst for your Word to be ignited within Pushnon's heart. May they be diligent in their study, seeking your guidance and illumination as they dive deeper into the Scriptures. Grant them clarity of mind, discernment, and a deep understanding of your truth.

We also pray for humility and a teachable spirit, recognizing that our understanding is limited and that we are dependent on your revelation. Help Pushnon to approach the study of your Word with reverence and awe, recognizing that it is your divine wisdom that we seek to uncover.

Father, we pray that as Pushnon grows in their understanding of your Word, they would also grow in their love for you and for others. May the truths they uncover lead them to a deeper relationship with you and a greater desire to share your love and truth with those around them.

We thank you, Lord, for the privilege of studying and interpreting your Word. May we always approach it with humility, seeking your guidance and revelation. May the treasures we uncover bring glory to your name and further your kingdom here on earth.

God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You, trust You, respect and obey You. Bless me to live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live, because I accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
