We are truly saddened to hear about the estrangement you are experiencing from your child, ###. We will stand with you in prayer and believe for reconciliation.
Firstly let us address that there is no mention of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only by the name Jesus that we can come to the Father. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Next we want to mention that there is no mention of a spouse in your request. This is not to say that every individual must be married, but we want to mention that it is not God's will for us to be alone if we can help it. If you are married, we also want to encourage you to be in constant prayer for your spouse as well.
Let us take a look at the scriptures as a foundation for hope and guidance. In Luke 15:11-32 WEB, Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son, which beautifully illustrates the love and forgiveness of a father toward his estranged son. We believe that this story can serve as an encouragement for you, reminding you of the unfailing love you have for your child and God's love.
For you, Father, we ask for a supernatural work in your child's heart. We pray that the walls of division will be broken down and that the lines of communication will be opened. The Bible says in Matthew 18:19 WEB, Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. We agree with you in prayer, believing for a restoration of your relationship with your child.
We encourage you to continue reaching out to your child in love, just as the father in the parable did. Remember that God is working behind the scenes, and His timing is perfect.
At the same time, we recognize the importance of personal growth and introspection during this time of estrangement. We do not know the reason for the estrangement, but if needed, you may need to address any mistakes you may have made and humbly seek forgiveness.
Let us pray.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and their child. We ask for Your healing and restoration in their relationship. Soften their child's heart and draw them together in love and understanding. Guide ### with Your wisdom and grace as they reach out to their child this weekend. We rebuke any spirit of division and strife and declare peace and unity in their relationship. We also pray that ### is praying this prayer in Jesus name and if they have never accepted Christ into their heart as Lord and Savior that they do so now. We also pray that if there is not a spouse in the picture that you would place a Godly spouse in their life to love and support them and help with the difficulties of parenting. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
