We understand that you are going through a challenging situation with your brother, and we want to lift your family up in prayer. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your situation and that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, Psalm 34:18.
It's important to remember that God created all of us in His image, and that includes your brother. God has a special place in His heart for those who are often marginalized in society. Be encouraged by these words from the Psalmist, But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Do not delay, my God, Psalm 40:17.
While we pray for your brother's healing, it's also important to pray for your mother and yourself, that God would grant both of you the strength and patience to care for him. We pray that God will surround your family with His love and grace during this difficult time. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in Yahweh will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint, Isaiah 40:30-31.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family that is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we pray for this brother who is struggling with severe autism, that You would heal his mental illness and calm his spirit. Help him to stop screaming and having attacks, and bring peace to his mind and body. We pray this in accordance with Your word. If you, Lord, are willing, you can make me clean, Matthew 8:2.
Father, we also pray for their mother, that You would grant her the strength and wisdom to care for her son. Lord, help her to go out today without his interference, and grant her the rest and respite that she needs. We pray that You would surround this family with Your love and grace, and that they would feel Your presence in their lives during this difficult time. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
