I believe in God. I grew up Catholic. Married in a Catholic Church, but I’m uncomfortable going to church. What is wrong with me? I am in search of the closeness I see so many have with the Lord. I especially need him now. Please help me.

It's understandable that you feel uncomfortable going to church, but we encourage you to seek a Bible-believing church where you can fellowship with others and grow in your faith. The Bible says, "Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:25 WEB).

God bless you..I would find a regular Bible believing Church close to home..Catholics are wonderful and pure people but some of the church doctrine is incorrect..just my opinion..but maybe that's why you feel uncomfortable..the Bible says to pray without ceasing. I talk to God all day..it's just a relationship.like you would talk to a friend..tell Him your life issues..hopes and dreams and ask Him what His will is in every situation .There really is no special formula to prayer..God us our father..Jesus is our Savior and healer..God bless you in His name.
