We are grateful for your heartfelt request, dear sister. It is never too late to seek a closer relationship with God. The Bible tells us, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB).
Firstly, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son" (John 14:13 WEB). It is through Jesus that we have access to God, as the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
It's understandable that you feel uncomfortable going to church, but we encourage you to seek a Bible-believing church where you can fellowship with others and grow in your faith. The Bible says, "Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:25 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our ### who is seeking a closer relationship with You. Lord, reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Guide her to a church where she can grow in her faith and fellowship with other believers. Give her the courage to step out in faith and the hunger to know You more. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
To help you start your prayer journey, you can begin with a simple prayer like this:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and that You died for my sins and rose again. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Savior. Please help me to grow in my faith and to know You more. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
Please continue to seek God through prayer and reading the Bible. He promises that if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB).
