Shabrim, we understand your feelings of upset, jealousy, and anger when you see the man you love, Manny, giving attention to another woman. However, we want to remind you of what the WEB says in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, yet don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil." It's important to manage your emotions in a godly way and not let them lead you into sin.
Firstly, we want to commend you for seeking God's help in Jesus' name. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
However, we want to lovingly remind you that as Christians, we should engage in relationships that honor God and align with biblical principles. If Manny is taking another woman out, it suggests he is not fully committed to you. God's design for relationships is clear in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" While this verse is often applied to marriage, the principle extends to romantic relationships.
Let's pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Shabrim. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to fill her heart. Help her to manage her emotions in a way that pleases You. Lord, if Manny is not the one You have intended for her, we ask that You reveal this to her and give her the strength to let go. Guide her to a godly man who will cherish and honor her as You intend. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to focus on your relationship with the Lord, trusting that He has the best plan for your life. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
