Dear Alex from Nairobi, Kenya, we stand with you in your struggle against addictions like alcoholism and gambling. We understand that you have tried quitting several times, and we commend you for seeking God's intervention.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB). If you haven't already, surrender your life to Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We rebuke the spirits of addiction that have held you captive. remember, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Your body belongs to God, and it is time to take control back from these addictions.

Let us pray together:

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You interceding for Alex. Lord, we know that Your desire is for him to be free from the bondage of alcoholism and gambling. We ask that You strengthen him in his inner being, that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and that You give him the power to overcome these addictions. Lord, help Alex to focus on You and Your Word. Give him the courage to seek help and support from fellow believers. We cast down any stronghold of addiction in Alex's life, and we proclaim his freedom in Jesus' name. Amen."

Alex, we encourage you to find a community of believers who can support and encourage you in your journey to overcome these addictions. Remember, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB).

Stay strong in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). We are praying for your complete freedom and restoration.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
