Heavenly Father,
We come before You on behalf of our dear friend, who is struggling with addictions to cigarettes and coffee. We lift them up to You, seeking Your deliverance and protection. Lord, we know that You are an all-loving, all-powerful, and all-knowing God, and we ask that our friend may come to know You in this way.
Lord, Your Word in Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We pray that our friend finds strength in Christ to overcome these addictions. Empower them with the willpower and determination needed to break free from these harmful habits.
Father, we seek deliverance for them from the enemy's influence. In James 4:7, it is written, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We pray that our friend submits to Your will, resists the enemy, and experiences Your mighty deliverance from all that binds them.
We ask for Your divine protection over their life. Psalm 91:1-2 assures us, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" May our friend dwell in Your shelter, finding refuge and safety under Your wings.
Lord, we pray that they come to know You as the all-loving, all-powerful, and all-knowing God that You are. Ephesians 3:17-19 says, "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." We ask that You fill our friend with the fullness of Your love, helping them to understand its vastness and to experience Your presence in their life.
Father, we trust in Your promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" We pray that our friend embraces their new identity in Christ, leaving behind old habits and stepping into a new life of freedom and victory.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your unwavering love and power. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
