I'm struggling a great deal with my OCD (I take meds for it). I actually believe I may have offended her which wasn't my intention. I am getting a new assistant in my classroom and she is already taking 20 days off from school for family vacations. During the time she is off, we are having visits from 3 agencies to be observed to keep our star rating. I told my director that I disagree with having her be allowed to take so much time especially during such a critical time. I just wanted her to see how much it will impact the class with her not being there and I think I overstepped my bounds. I apologized for it but it is out there now. I also told her that it was in my contract not to take more than 5 consecutive days off in a row without special permission (before she got there). She said she would call the previous director and ask her which I am not sure what she will say but I hope she points out that 20 days is a lot of days when we work 10 months out of the year. I cannot stop thinking about this. Please pray my thoughts settle down and my new director hears from my old director and my new assistant cannot take all those consecutive days off.
