I am not addicted to masturbation, but I am afraid of becoming addicted and I don't like doing it yet I can't seem to stop completely no matter how much I pray for these desires to go away and to stop.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother or sister who is struggling with the fear of becoming addicted to masturbation. Lord, You know their heart and their desire to live a life that is pleasing to You. We ask for Your strength and guidance as they seek to overcome this challenge.
Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." We pray that You would provide a way out for them, Lord, and help them to find the strength to resist these desires.
We also ask for the renewing of their mind, as Romans 12:2 instructs us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Transform their thoughts and desires, Lord, so that they may focus on what is pure and holy.
Grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:7 promises, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May Your peace guard their heart and mind, and may they find comfort and strength in Your presence.

I am asking for prayer because I’m struggling with porn and masturbation. It’s a constant temptation and I want to be free of it. I don’t want the Lord to say “depart from me, I never knew you”.
