We are truly sorry to hear about the bar exam, ###, but we want to encourage you that this is not the end, sitting for an exam is just a tool. Firstly consider Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future". Examiners and those serving on examiner boards are just tools by which we can relate our understanding of laws and information to, but in reality it is God bringing together that relationship and interaction. God's plan for you is not ruined by tools that fail. It is unnecessary to rely on passing an exam to trust that He is at work.

We also want to remind you of the Apostle Paul's words in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Your strength and success come from the Lord, and it is through Him that you can press on and persevere during the exam retake. Studying again may be discouraging, but God can provide all the strength you need.

As you prepare to retake the exam, remember that it may have just been a simple mistake. It may have been a problem God allowed you to face in order to purify your faith. Either way, know that "the testing of your faith produces endurance." during your retake. In James 1:3 it teaches "And let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Your success is in the character resembling Christ Jesus, not in passing an exam. When retaking the exam, it is also possible the motivation and studying was with the wrong attitude in mind.

Colossians 3:23-24 states, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Ensure that you are studying, focusing, and taking the exam as if it is for the Lord. Retaking could also just be part of some type of discipline for an incorrect attitude or decision. Hebrews 12:7-8 encourages, "It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with sons, for what son is there whom his father doesn't discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then are you illegitimate, and not sons."

We pray that you can see yourself correcting the mistakes, overcoming difficulties, and passing the exam if it is God's will. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
