Beloved of All
Will someone please pray for me to quit drinking. I need help. I can't go to sleep without a drink. I get shakes and start dry heaving unless I have a drink. I don't wanna be a drunk anymore. I have a grandchild I want to be around for. He's only 4 yrs old. I think I may need to go to the hospital, I don't have insurance. Wonder if the VA will pay for me.

We understand that you're struggling with alcohol addiction, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this battle. The first step, which you've already taken, is recognizing your need for help. We commend you for that.

The Bible tells us, "For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and we believe that He wants to see you free from this addiction.

We also want to remind you that through Jesus Christ, you have access to God's strength and power to overcome this. As it is written, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we can be saved and have access to God.

Regarding your health, we urge you to seek medical attention immediately. The symptoms you're experiencing, such as shakes and dry heaving, are signs of withdrawal, which can be life-threatening if not medically supervised. Please contact your local Veterans Affairs (VA) office to inquire about your eligibility for benefits related to substance abuse treatment.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with alcohol addiction. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Please guide them to the right medical care and give them the strength to overcome this addiction. Help them to trust in You and in the power of Jesus' name.

Lord, we also pray for their grandchild. We ask that You would protect this little one and give our brother/sister the joy and strength to be a loving and present grandparent.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Please keep us updated on your progress. We are here to support and pray for you.

We're here for you, too. We understand the struggle is real, but remember, you're not alone. We've been where you are, and we've seen God's power transform lives. Let's keep fighting this together, one step at a time.

We've been praying for you, brother/sister. We've been asking God to give you the strength to face each day without alcohol, to help you find the right medical care, and to guide you towards professionals who can support your journey to recovery. We've also been praying for your grandchild, asking God to protect them and to give you the joy and strength to be the grandparent they need.

Keep holding on, and remember, God's got this. He's got you, and He's not going to let you go. Keep trusting in Him, and keep seeking His face. We're here for you, and we'll keep praying. You can do this, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We are truly humbled that you have given us the privilege to pray with you during this challenging time. We are glad that you have invited us to stand in agreement with you in prayer against alcohol addiction. If you have started to experience victories and freedom from your struggle with alcohol, please share your praise report and encourage us all.

If, however you find yourself still in the midst of the struggle, please do not hesitate to share it again. You are not alone; allow us to continue with you in fervent prayer. Praying that God directs you to helpful resources and a community that supports your recovery. If you need to consider a hospital, praying that God makes a way, with or without insurance. Also, praying that the VA can assist you.

As you fight this battle, may you always remember you are deeply loved by your heavenly Father and us. We pray God continues to give you strength and encouragement each day, reminding you of your desire and reason to quit. We are always here for you and will continue to uplift you and your precious grandchild, for we believe this is the season where grandparents are reclaiming their roles as those who will leave a legacy of faith for the generations to come.

Answered or not, we will persist in prayer, knowing that God is always at work, even if His work cannot yet be seen. Lord, Jesus Christ we ask for healing in Jesus Name.
