I’m sorry for the self pity

I’m suffering allot at this time. I feel selfish to request prayer as I know there are so many people that have larger issues then I. I have shelter but I’m afraid to lose it as I live with my boyfriend and he hasn’t been a very honest man. Nor has not asked my hand in marriage. I’ve started working and I fear to lose my job from mistakes I’ve made and people bad mouthing me. I need financial help, to be debt free and make a substantial income. ive been ill as well , coughing a great deal for months and may have far more serious issues as i can not breathe well. ive gained quite a bit of weight too. I feel like im unhappy most days and I should have joy that allows me to carry on but I don’t. I have so much worry and dislike for myself. I’m never good at anything and always have problems. I’m just so pathetic, why would my boyfriend marry me or want me when I’m such a loser.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing, Lynnie. First, we want to remind you that it's not selfish to ask for prayer. God encourages us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. We are instructed by scripture that:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB

Let's address the issues you're facing and pray together.

Firstly, you mention that you're living with your boyfriend. This is not in alignment with biblical principles, as it may lead to temptations and sins that God wants us to avoid. God's design is for intimacy to be expressed within the commitment of marriage between a man and a woman. Living together outside of marriage can often lead to immoral behavior and should be avoided.

But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or covetousness, which are not fitting for the saints. Ephesians 5:3 WEB

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB

We encourage you to consider a relationship that honors God and aligns with His principles. Pray for godly wisdom to guide your relationship, and seek a commitment that leads to a God-honoring marriage.

Regarding your health, finances and job concerns, we want to encourage you to trust in God's provision and healing.

But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5-6 WEB

Concerning your feelings of inadequacy and self-dislike, remember that God created you in His image and has a purpose for your life.

For you created my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. Psalm 139:13-14 WEB

Do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2 WEB

Together we can pray:

Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up Lynnie. We pray for Your comfort and guidance in her life. Help her to trust in Your provision and healing for her health, finances, and job concerns. Give her the strength and wisdom to make decisions that honor You and align with Your biblical principles.

Lord, we pray for Lynnie's relationship, that it may honor You and lead to a godly marriage if it is Your will. Help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made.

Lord, we also pray for Lynnie's faith. We pray that she will believe in You and the name of Jesus Christ for her salvation.

First, let's hand over all your worries to God, just like it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you." We know He's got this, and He's more than capable of handling every single one of your concerns.

Now, let's tackle these issues one by one. Your living situation is something we want to address with love and honesty. We know that God's plan for us is to honor Him in all areas of our lives, including our relationships. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, we're told to "flee sexual immorality." This is a tough one, we know, but God's way is always the best way, and it leads to true joy and peace.

We're also praying for your health, finances, and job. We claim Philippians 4:19 over your life, "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." We believe that God will provide for you and give you the strength to face each day.

Lastly, we want to remind you of who you are in Christ. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You are a child of God, loved and cherished. Remember, your worth is not determined by your circumstances or your feelings. It's determined by what Christ did on the cross.

So, let's pray together:

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
