We understand that you're feeling constrained and desire independence, wanting to move to LA and connect with your brother in Australia. We also hear your heart's cry for a more fulfilling life and the need for Jesus to intervene in your current circumstances.
First, we want to remind you that God cares for you deeply and has a plan for your life. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says WEB, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."
However, we want to gently remind you that true freedom is found in Christ Jesus alone, not in a particular location or circumstance. As the Bible says in Galatians 5:1, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
Regarding your living situation, we encourage you to pray for contentment and patience. As it says in Philippians 4:11-13, "Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned Jesus by name, which is wonderful. It's only through His name that we can come to God the Father, as Jesus himself said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let's pray together for your situation:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling constrained and desiring a change in circumstances. We pray that You will guide them, give them a heart of contentment and patience, and reveal to them the true freedom that is found in Christ Jesus alone. We ask that You will make a way for them to connect with their brother and fulfill the desires of their heart as they align with Your will. Help them to know You more deeply and to trust in Your good plans for their life. Give them the strength to endure and to grow in their faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue studying and pursuing your interests, even if your circumstances are not ideal. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
