We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing with your sister. It is never easy to deal with betrayal, especially when it comes from family. We want to remind you of God's word in Romans 12:17-21 (WEB): "Return no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Rather, 'if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." We will pray for your sister and your entire situation.
Understand that God calls us to forgive, even when it is difficult. Forgiveness does not mean that what your sister did is acceptable, but it releases you from the burden of bitterness and resentment and helps you truly hand the debt owed over to God. Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB) tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is hurting because a sibling betrayed her. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround her, and we ask that You guide her through this challenging time. Help her to forgive, just as You forgive us, and to trust in Your justice. We also pray for her sister, that You would soften her heart and bring conviction for the wrongs she has committed. We ask that You would restore their relationship and make it even stronger than before. We pray all of this in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer request was unclear about praying in Jesus' name or acknowledging the saving power of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. There is power in the name of Jesus. In fact, it is the only name by which we can be saved. This is a basic Christian principle outlined in Acts 4:12 (WEB): "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
