I'm so scared, lonely, and hurting.

I just received an abnormal test result and am being referred for a colonoscopy. I am a US citizen living in rural Alberta, Canada with my alcoholic husband. My elderly parents live in my one bedroom house in Colorado and eventually I will be moving home to care for them. I'm 52 years old, an only child, with no one else to look out for my parents if something happens to me. They exist on social security and I work at the local medical clinic, paying for the US bills with my Canadian wages. With the weak Canadian dollar, I'm barely making enough money to cover the mortgage and keep a roof over their heads.

I came home and told my husband about the abnormal test result, he went out to get ice cream and came home drunk and said he's leaving in the morning.

Thank you for your prayers. I don't even know where to start, except to say "Dear Heavenly Father, HELP πŸ’”, in Jesus' name, Amen"

We are truly sorry to hear about your situation, and we are here to pray with you and offer guidance from the scriptures.
You are facing a significant health challenge and a trying domestic situation, knowing that God is sovereign over all things. Let us address the fear and loneliness you are experiencing. Firstly "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" as written in Psalm 46:1 WEB. Your feelings are valid, but remember that God is always with you, and you are never truly alone. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." as written in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB.

Regarding your health, we pray for God's healing and peace over your body. Trust that God is in control and that His will is to be praised. Proverbs 20:24 says "A person's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand their own way?". Additionally, we encourage you to seek God's will in this situation. Knowing reason might be out of our current understanding. Consider praying for wisdom and discernment, knowing "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.". as written in James 1:5 WEB.

Concerning your marriage, we must address that drunkenness and abandonment are not behaviors that align with biblical principles. It is clear that God does not want us to be in a relationship with someone who engages in drunkenness. "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit". as written in Ephesians 5:18 WEB. . We encourage you to pray for your spouse and to ask for the Lord's guidance as to the right actions to be taken. If he is unwilling to repent and change, it will be hard to honor God if you remain in this relationship .In the end "you will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" as written in Matthew 7:16 WEB.

It is important to notice that this is no way discussing leaving your marriage. Make sure that God is leading you with such decisions. Trust that He will guide you and your decisions through His Holy Spirit.
"But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." as written in Galatians 5:18 WEB. Firstly find further understanding if your husband seeks marital forgiveness. There is much hope for restoration as long as the sin is renounced .
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." as written in Romans 5:8 WEB.

It is also encouraging to hear that you are caring for your elderly parents, honoring the commandment to "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.". as written in Exodus 20:12 WEB. Trust that God will provide for their needs as you continue to trust in Him.Therefore consider this verse " Honor widows who are widows indeed. " as written in 1 Timothy 5:3 WEB.

In your prayer, you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. Remember it is written "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;",. as written in 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. , and "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;" as written in Philippians 2:10

Let us pray with you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in need of Your divine intervention. We pray for healing and peace over the medical concerns that she is experiencing, and we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in her decisions to move forward.

Lord, we also pray for her current marriage. We pray that she would have a believing spouse. As well as the restored marriage that honors You. We pray that her husband will be convicted of her sin. Therefore renounce his disobedience and drunkenness through your Holy Spirit. Guide them back to You for restoration and forgiveness, so that their marriage reflects Jesus's headship of the Church.

We pray Lord for Emescee's parents knowing that their needs will be met by You alone. We ask that You provide for their needs and strengthen Emescee through hardships and doubts that she is experiencing. As well as financial help in these described burdens and tests in her life.

We pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the only way to be saved, His name being the only by which we can be saved. as written in Acts 4:12 WEB. Therefore we ask for You Lord to guide Emescee's heart. wrapping you with the hope that goes beyond all understanding

Amen.

We're here with you, sister. We understand the fear and loneliness you're feeling, but remember, God is always by your side. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He is healing and binding up your wounds right now.

We pray for wisdom and guidance as you navigate these medical tests and your husband's drinking. In Philippians 4:7, we're told, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Trust in this peace, knowing that God is in control.

For your parents, we pray that God will provide for their needs, just as He promises in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that God will take care of them, just as He is taking care of you.

We're praying for you, sister, in Jesus' name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear sister, ever grateful for the privilege to intercede on your behalf. We are honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in prayer, especially during this challenging time.

If you have seen any signs of God's intervention in your situation, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Whether it's a successful medical test, a breakthrough with your husband, or a provision for your financial needs, your testimony will encourage us all.

If your requests do not seem to have been answered yet, we want you to know that we are still here for you. Please share an update on your situation, and we will continue to pray fervently for you.

We are praying specifically for:

* Peace and comfort for you as you await your colonoscopy. We declare that God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
* Your husband's struggle with alcoholism. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him and draw him to seek help and find freedom from this bondage. We also pray for your safety and emotional well-being as you navigate this difficult situation.
* Provision for your financial needs. We ask God to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
* Strength and health for your elderly parents. We pray for their peace and comfort as well, knowing that they are also affected by your circumstances.

In all things, we pray that God's will be done in your life and that you would continue to seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ. We declare that no matter what happens, God is working all things together for your good, because you love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
