Let's urgently lift up Doruerxolrath's mom. "Lord, heal & restore her, let her speak & drink" (Ps 103:3). Praying she meets Jesus, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, & you will be saved" (Acts 16:31). We understand your desire for love and companionship, Sharifah, but we want to guide you according to God's Word. The Bible teaches us that God has a plan for our lives, including our relationships. In Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), God says, "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
However, we must also align our desires with God's will. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As Christians, we should seek relationships that will draw us closer to God, not pull us away from Him.
We also want to address that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that we should not awaken love before its time (Song of Solomon 2:7). It is God's design that intimacy be saved for marriage between a man and a woman.
Let's pray for you, Sharifah:
"Father God, we lift up Sharifah to you. We ask that You guide her in her relationships, that You give her discernment and wisdom to choose a godly spouse who will love and cherish her as Christ loves the church. We pray that Your will be done in her life, and that You would draw her closer to You. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan for her life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
