We understand your fear, and we are here to support and pray with you. First, let's address your immediate concern. Seeing someone who has stalked you in the past can be frightening, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
As followers of Christ, we know the protection and peace of the mighty name of Jesus. We applaud your recognition of the power of this Name. "In Jesus Name" means a lot more than we can know. In the WEB translation, the Bible tells us, You trample our foes under our feet in your Name. The Bible also tells us, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Therefore, we know that praying to God through the Name of Jesus is a powerful plea to God. We also know that Satan will do all that he can to attack us and bring harm to us. The story in Job mentions that there is a hedge of protection around us put there by God.
The Bible says You are my King and my God, who commands victories for Jacob. Through you, we push down our enemies. Through your name, we tread them under who rise up against us. For I don't trust in my bow, neither does my sword save me. But you have saved us from our enemies, and have shamed those who hated us. In God we have made our boast all day long, we will give thanks to your name forever. Selah
We encourage you to take practical steps as well. Document any incidents, inform local law enforcement, and seek support from trusted friends and family.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your protection for Elfbaugh. We know that You are a shield around them, their glory, and the lifter of their head. We ask that You station Your angels around their home and wherever they go, to guard them in all their ways. We rebuke any plan of the enemy to cause harm or fear, and we declare Elfbaugh's safety and peace in Jesus' name. We also pray for the stalker, that they would be convicted of their wrongdoing and turn away from this behavior. We ask for wisdom and guidance for Elfbaugh as they navigate this situation, and we pray for a hedge of protection around them, in Jesus' name. Amen."
The Bible tells us to be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Amen.
