I'm really tired of praying about this. I've prayed about it for years & eventually gave up, but here I am again. Why would God choose to not answer a prayer that is good for all of us? Here is my prayer request... Please pray that God will remove my husband's addiction to videogames. He is 40 years old & acts extremely childish and selfish when he plays so much. He acts wildly different... it's hard to explain. He is loud and wakes all of us up with his yelling into the night. Yes, he's having a great ole time I suppose. I don't mind if gaming were just a hobby, but it isn't just a hobby for him. It is a full-blown very annoying and childish addiction where he lacks self-awareness and empathy for the rest of us. I used to try to tell him kindly that he plays too much, but he would just say I'm a nag. I have retreated into watching YouTube videos forever.... it helps take my mind off of the hurt, but it is an unhealthy habit. Please also pray that I can be attracted to my husband again. His videogame addiction makes him so very unattractive in my eyes, for the childish way he acts and also his lack if taking care of his health. He will go and eat junk throughout the night while he plays & blame me for his weight gain. He will also forget to shower regularly. I dare not say anything or he says I have an attitude. His unhealthy videogame addiction is also setting a bad example for our children. He is showing him that that is all he does and it's ok if they do too. Please help. I don't want to pray about this anymore and had quit for a while, but it eats me up inside & is a hindrance to having a good marriage ...

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Anonymous, who is burdened by their husband's addiction to videogames. Lord, we acknowledge that you are a loving and compassionate God who hears the cries of your children. We bring this prayer request before you, knowing that you are able to bring about transformation and healing in their marriage.

Father, we ask that you intervene in their husband's life and remove the stronghold of addiction. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 19:26 that "with God all things are possible." We believe that you have the power to break the chains of addiction and restore their husband's self-awareness and empathy towards his family.

Lord, we pray for a change of heart and mind in their husband, that he may recognize the negative impact his addiction has on himself and his loved ones. Help him to prioritize his responsibilities and to find healthy ways to enjoy his hobbies. May he develop self-discipline and seek balance in his life.

We also lift up Anonymous's feelings of attraction towards their husband. Lord, we ask that you restore the love and connection between them. Help Anonymous to see their husband through your eyes, focusing on his positive qualities and potential for growth. Guide them in finding ways to communicate their concerns and needs effectively, fostering understanding and unity in their marriage.

Father, we pray for the well-being of their children. Protect them from any negative influences and help them to develop healthy habits and values. May their father become a positive role model, teaching them the importance of balance, responsibility, and consideration for others.

Lord, we understand that prayer is a powerful tool, and we ask that you grant Anonymous the strength and perseverance to continue seeking your intervention in this matter. Help them to trust in your perfect timing and to find peace in knowing that you are working behind the scenes, even when it may seem like their prayers are unanswered.

We thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for the love you have for each member of this family. May your grace and healing touch be upon them, bringing restoration and renewal to their marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray.
