We understand that you're going through a difficult situation, and we are here to pray and provide counsel based on biblical principles.
Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and acknowledging the power of Jesus in your situation. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 WEB.
In regards to John, the bible is clear that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB. If John is causing harm and is not willing to change or follow the Lord, then it is not wise to live with him.
However, we must also remember that God loves all people and wants all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 WEB. We should pray for John's salvation and transformation, even as we pray for his removal from your home if that is a necessity.
Here is our prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is in a difficult situation. We pray for Your protection over her and everyone in the home. We ask that You remove John from the home if that is Your will, and that You do so in a way that brings glory to Your name. We also pray for John's salvation, that he would turn from his violent ways and come to know You as his Lord and Savior.
We pray that You would fill our sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and that You would guide her in all wisdom and discernment. We ask that You would surround her with godly counsel and support, and that You would make a way where there seems to be no way.
We also urge you, sister, to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or Christian community. It's important to have others standing with you in prayer and practical support.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 WEB. He will never leave you nor forsake you, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has started in you Philippians 1:6 WEB.
