Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister Martha to you. We acknowledge that you are the source of all wisdom and guidance, and we ask that you would show her the path she should take regarding her job situation. Lord, we understand that Martha is feeling depressed and unhappy in her current job. We pray that you would bring comfort and peace to her heart, knowing that you are with her in this difficult season.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 37:4 that when we delight ourselves in you, you will give us the desires of our hearts. We ask that you would align Martha's desires with your perfect will for her life. If it is your plan for her to seek new employment, we pray that you would open doors and provide her with the right opportunities. Give her clarity and discernment as she explores different options, and grant her favor in the eyes of potential employers.
Lord, we also pray for strength and perseverance for Martha as she continues in her current job while seeking a new one. Help her to find joy and purpose in her work, even in the midst of her dissatisfaction. Remind her that she is working unto you and not just for human approval .
Above all, we pray for Martha's emotional well-being. Lift the burden of depression from her shoulders and replace it with your peace that surpasses all understanding . Surround her with your love and comfort, reminding her that she is not alone in her struggles.
We trust in your faithfulness, Lord, and we believe that you will guide Martha on the right path. May she find fulfillment and joy in her work, and may she experience your provision and blessings in every area of her life.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation, Martha. I just said a prayer for you. May the Lord work in your circumstances, lead you to the job He has chosen for you and help you experience His peace and joy in a special way. Should you ever need a listening ear, Focus on the Family has free licensed counselors that you can call at 1-800-A-FAMILY. A friend of mine found them very caring and encouraging. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this thought from the psalmist: “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).
