We understand that you're feeling disheartened and questioning God's presence in your past experiences. It's important to remember that God's ways are not always our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). Often, we may not sense His presence or see His intervention, but that doesn't mean He isn't there.
In the Bible, we see that God doesn't always prevent us from facing trials or making mistakes. Instead, He allows us to go through them, using them to shape us and draw us closer to Him. Consider the example of Joseph, who was sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned. Yet, God was with him through it all, ultimately using his experiences for good (Genesis 39 & 50:20, WEB).
It's also crucial to remember that believing in God is more than just having a better attitude. It's about having a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, WEB). It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it's through His sacrifice on the cross that we are saved (John 3:16, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother who is feeling disheartened and questioning Your presence in his life. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to Him in a tangible way. Help Him to see that You were with Him, even in the darkest times. Give Him the faith to trust in You, even when He can't see or feel Your presence.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God with all your heart, and He promises that you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13, WEB). Keep pressing on, and remember that God's love for you is unfailing, even when you can't see or feel it.
