Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with our hearts heavy, lifting up Jacob to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Almighty, the One who sees all and knows all. Your word tells us in 1 Peter 5:7 to "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you," and today we cast Jacob's burdens upon You.
Father, Jacob is in a deep valley, battling forces of darkness that seem insurmountable. We know from Your word in Ephesians 6:12 that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." We ask that You would intercede in Jacob's life with Your mighty power.
Lord, we pray for Your protection over Jacob. Surround Jacob with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." We ask for a hedge of protection to be placed around Jacob, that no evil may come near.
Father, Jacob feels abandoned and hopeless. We ask that You would remind Jacob of Your promise in Hebrews 13:5, where You say, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Let Jacob feel Your presence in a powerful and undeniable way. Comfort Jacob with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Counselor and Comforter.
Lord, we rebuke the demons that are tormenting Jacob in the name of Jesus Christ. Your word tells us in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We declare that these evil forces have no power over Jacob, for Jacob is a child of God, washed in the blood of Jesus.
We also pray for peace, Lord. Your word in Philippians 4:7 promises, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let this peace wash over Jacob, calming every fear and anxiety.
Father, we ask that You would provide Jacob with rest. In Psalm 4:8, it is written, "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Grant Jacob the rest that is so desperately needed, free from any torment.
Lord, we also pray against the spirit of suicide. In John 10:10, You say, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." We declare life over Jacob, abundant life, filled with Your purpose and love.
Finally, we ask for hope to be restored. Romans 15:13 says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Fill Jacob's heart with hope, Lord, and renew the strength to keep fighting.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust that You are working even now on Jacob's behalf. We pray all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
