We understand that you are in a challenging situation, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth according to the Word of God.
Firstly, we want to assure you that you are doing the right thing by leaving your situation in God's hands. It is written in Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
However, we also need to address that lasting change in your husband will come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can overcome addictions and strongholds like drinking and smoking. If your husband has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to share the gospel with him and pray for his salvation. It is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
We also want to encourage you to pray fervently and not give up. It is written in Luke 18:1, He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up. Keep praying for your husband and trust that God is at work, even when you do not see the results yet.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her family before Your throne of grace. Lord, she is overwhelmed by the situation in her home, and she needs Your divine intervention.
Father, we pray for her husband. We ask that You would deliver him from the bondage of drinking and smoking. Lord, reveal Yourself to him and draw him to Your saving grace. We pray that he would become the godly husband and father that You have called him to be.
Lord, we also pray for this dear sister. Strengthen her faith and give her the grace to endure. Help her to trust in Your timing and to not grow weary in praying. Fill her and her home with Your peace, joy, and happiness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Continue to trust in God and His timing. He is faithful, and He will hear your prayers. Stand strong in your faith and remember that with God, all things are possible. It is written in Mark 9:23, Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.
We are here with you in prayer and support. Keep holding on to God's promises and trust that He will bring change to your home.
