We come before you in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is experiencing excruciating back pain due to shingles. Lord, we acknowledge that you are the ultimate healer and that you have the power to bring relief and restoration to every part of our bodies.
Your Word reminds us in Psalm 103:3 that you "forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases." We ask, Lord, that you would extend your healing hand upon our friend and alleviate their pain. We pray for the effectiveness of the nerve blocking treatment they are undergoing, that it may bring them relief and manage their pain.
We also lift up their sleeplessness before you, knowing that you are the one who gives rest to the weary. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We ask that you grant our friend peaceful and restful nights, free from the torment of pain.
Lord, we trust in your perfect timing and your divine plan. We pray for patience and strength for our friend as they endure this trial. Help them to find comfort and hope in knowing that you are with them every step of the way.
