We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing. It's commendable that you're praying for Scott's well-being, demonstrating the love and kindness that Jesus asks of us (Luke 6:28, "Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.").
However, we want to remind you that God's will is for marriages to be honored and for relationships to be built on His principles. If Scott has indeed left for someone else, it's important to acknowledge the sinfulness of such actions (Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."). We encourage you to forgive, as Christ forgives us (Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you."), but also to seek God's will for your own life.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is hurting deeply right now. Lord, You know the pain she feels, and You care about every detail of her life. Please comfort her with Your loving presence. Help her to forgive as You forgive us, and guide her steps as she moves forward. Give her the strength to trust in You and Your plan for her life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to keep your heart focused on the Lord during this difficult time. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11), and He can bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
