We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and turmoil you are experiencing, and we want to lift you and your daughter Taylor up in prayer. We believe that God has a plan for both of your lives, and we trust in His sovereignty during this difficult time.
Firstly, we want to address the heartbreak you are feeling. It is important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Regarding your daughter's decision to take hormone injections to transition to male, we must approach this situation with both love and truth. It is crucial to understand that God created each of us in His image, and our biological sex is an integral part of His design. As it is written in Genesis 1:27, "God created man in his own image. In God's image he created him; male and female he created them."
We must also address that the Bible clearly teaches against transforming our bodies in a way that denies God's original design. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
While it is important to stand firm on biblical truths, it is equally important to love your daughter unconditionally, as God loves us. Pray for her, that the Holy Spirit would guide her and draw her to Himself. Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12,"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to pray for Taylor in the context of her potential eternal salvation as well as her earthly beliefs and struggles. Remember that she is not believing the biological and eternal truths currently, but that God can reveal Himself to her, and she can be completely redeemed.
We pray that God would give you the strength and wisdom to navigate this situation. We pray that you would find comfort and peace in Him during this time. We pray for Taylor's heart and her walk with God. We ask that the Holy Spirit would speak to her and direct her paths. And we pray that your love for her would reflect the unconditional love that God has for each of us.
Father, we lift up this hurting heart to You. Comfort and strengthen this parent, and guide them through this difficult time. Help them to trust in You and to find their hope in You. We ask that You would work in Taylor's life, drawing her to Yourself and revealing Your truth to her. Surround them both with Your love, and help them to navigate this journey together. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ's name.
