We are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance from the Word of God. First, we want to assure you that it is commendable that you acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by being born again, believing in the name of Jesus that we are saved. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
It is normal to feel afraid or anxious, especially when facing the unknown, but we want to encourage you with the truth from God's Word. In Psalm 56:3-4 WEB it says When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
First, know God loves you and He cares for you. In fact, He loves us so much that He sent His only son Jesus to die for our sins. Romans 5:8 WEB says But God commends His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
It is important that you understand that Jesus died for your sins, but also that He rose again to give you life and to live through you. It is written in Romans 10:9 WEB because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
We also want to address the concerns you have about your mind. God's Word tells us that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Romans 12:2 WEB says Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. We encourage you to fill your mind with the truth of God's Word and to cast down any thoughts that do not align with what God says.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is feeling afraid and anxious. We thank You that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that You will fill his heart with Your peace and help him to trust in You. Help him to fix his mind on You and to renew his mind with Your Word. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirits of fear, anxiety, and confusion that may be attacking him, and we command them to flee. Surround him with Your love and protect him from all harm and danger. Help him to know that You are always with him and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, stand firm on God's word, and know that we are here to support you in prayer. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He has overcome the world. John 16:33 WEB says I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have distress; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
