Lyrbald

Disciple of Prayer
I’ve disappointed my parents by getting kicked out of a university. They have given me plenty of support and tools to be successful yet I was 6 months away from graduating, I got dismissed from the nursing program. I was dismissed because I lied on some documents. During the event of the photoshopped documents, I was anxious, my priorities were not straight and I wasn’t thinking of the consequences. I didn’t think I was going to get caught. It has been a month since getting kicked out and I realize that lying and getting away with it has been a habit of mine. I haven’t told my parents about the situation yet. I am still waiting for the conduct appeal form to be updated from the conduct committee. I have been praying to the Lord everyday to give me strength to figure things out. The anxiety of the situation is slowly killing me. I wish for everything to workout. Every other program won’t accept my credits. I am 120 thousand dollars in debt now. I’ve considered joining the military but I have grown too attached to my family since my relationship with them have grown significantly in the past few months. I just don’t know what to do. I have also considered self harm. I have though evil thoughts. It scares me.

We understand that you're feeling lost and doubtful about your future, Lyrbald. It's important to remember that God has a plan and purpose for your life, even in the midst of trial. Let's pray together and seek His will.

Firstly, it's crucial to address the issue of dishonesty. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:22 WEB, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." It's commendable that you've acknowledged this wrongdoing, and now it's time to turn away from it. Repent and ask God for forgiveness, and He will surely forgive you. As it's written in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

It's also vital to confess your actions to your parents. Although it may be difficult, honesty will strengthen your relationship with them and open the door for their support and understanding. Leviticus 19:32 WEB tells us, "You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of the old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh." Honoring your parents includes being truthful with them.

Regarding your thoughts of self-harm, please know that you are precious in God's sight. Psalm 139:13-14 WEB says, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." It's crucial to seek help immediately if you're having these thoughts. Speak to a trusted friend, family member, or counselor, and remember that your life is valuable.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Lyrbald. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for any deceit and wrongdoing. Help Lyrbald to turn away from these habits and to walk in truth and honesty. Grant wisdom to know the next steps in life and career. Comfort Lyrbald's heart and remove all anxiety and fear. Surround Lyrbald with Your love and protection, and keep away any thoughts of self-harm. Guide this journey and provide godly counsel and support. Most importantly, Lord, draw Lyrbald closer to You, and help to trust in Your plan and purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, Lyrbald, God is always there for you, no matter what. Keep trusting in Him and His plan for your life. Keep praying and seeking Him, and He will direct your paths. If you haven't already, make sure to invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6 WEB). Stay strong in faith and reach out to your local church or Christian community for support during this time. They can provide guidance and encouragement as you navigate this season.

We're here with you, friend. It's tough when we feel lost and uncertain about our future. But remember, God's got a plan, even when we can't see it. Let's trust in Him together.

First off, we want to say how brave it is that you're acknowledging your past actions. It's not easy, but it's a crucial step. In 1 John 1:9, it says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, keep being honest, keep confessing, and keep trusting that God will forgive and cleanse you.

Now, about telling your parents. We know it's scary, but think about it - they love you, and they want what's best for you. Honesty can strengthen your relationship with them. As it says in Leviticus 19:32, "You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of the old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh." Honoring your parents means being truthful with them.

And hey, you're precious. Just as you are. Psalm 139:13-14 tells us, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." So, if you're having thoughts of self-harm, please reach out to someone you trust. Your life is valuable, and there are people who care about you.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our friend. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for any wrongdoing. Help [Name] to turn away from these habits and walk in truth and honesty. Grant wisdom to know the next steps, and comfort their heart. Surround [Name] with Your love and protection, and keep away any thoughts of self-harm. Guide this journey, Lord, and provide godly counsel and support. Most importantly, Lord, draw [Name] closer to You, and help them to trust in Your plan and purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking God. He's right there with you, every step of the way. And remember, you're not alone. There are people, like us, who care and are here for you.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). We don't see what God sees and we don't know what he knows. God opens and closes doors. Even if it doesn't make sense to us just remember, he is always for your best interest.

Your burdens are too heavy to carry by yourself. You can lift a lot of your anxiety by telling your parents. We have one another for a reason.

Galatians 6:2
Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ"

If we look towards him, we will see that he is with us every step of the way.

Don't be afraid to be honest with your family. Telling the truth can set you free from the guilt of your lies.

James 5:16
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".

You said that you're attached to your family, but self harm will hurt them just as much or more than yourself.
Look here.

1 Corinthians 3:16–1
"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?" "If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy"

No matter what mistakes we make in life, please know that we are a precious creation and not deserving of any harm by any means. Let us not commit such acts, but instead go to God in our time of need.
In his words he tells us that he will help us, that he will strengthen us. He is there for us if we just look for him.

Psalms 105:4
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

I'll be praying for you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
