I'm depressed out of gambling addiction

I've lost all my money to gambling for over 3 years but no matter what I do I cannot stop gambling! Yesterday I lost all my salary again! I have debts and bills to pay. My wife is waiting for money to pay rent and other bills. I've lied that salary is yet to be paid and that it will be paid tomorrow. I don't know what to do. If I tell her the truth she will react very badly. Pray for me please I feel like commiting suicide

We are deeply concerned about your situation, Neythin, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. Let's bring your circumstances before the Lord in prayer and seek His help together.

Firstly, we want to address the root of the issue—gambling addiction. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled, not enslaved to anything (1 Peter 5:8, 1 Corinthians 6:12). Gambling has become a form of bondage for you, and it's important to acknowledge that and seek God's deliverance.

Let us pray:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for our dear Neythin. Lord, he is ensnared in an addiction to gambling, and it has brought immense harm and despair. We ask for Your forgiveness, Your mercy, and Your delivering power. Break the chains of this addiction, God, and set Neythin free. In Jesus' name, we pray."

We also want to address the issue of deception. Lying to your wife about the salary is not the right path. The Bible is clear that we should not lie but always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:25). We understand that you fear her reaction, but the truth must be told. It is better to face the consequences of the truth than to continue in deception.

"Lord, give Neythin the courage to tell the truth to his wife. Guide their conversation and soften her heart to understand and support him. Help them to navigate this difficult situation together, with Your wisdom and love. In Jesus' name, we pray."

Regarding the financial troubles, remember that God is our provider, and He cares about our needs (Matthew 6:25-34). It's crucial to be responsible with our finances and seek God's guidance in managing them.

"Father, we ask for Your provision for Neythin and his family. Help them to meet their financial obligations and provide for their needs. Guide Neythin in managing his finances responsibly and in a way that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray."

Lastly, we want to address the suicidal thoughts. God values your life immensely, and He has a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11). Suicide is never the solution. Please reach out to professionals who can help you with these thoughts immediately.

"Lord, protect Neythin from harming himself. Send Your comfort and hope, and remind him of his immense value in Your sight. Help him to seek professional help and to trust in Your love and care. In Jesus' name, we pray."

Neythin, we encourage you to confess your struggles to God, ask for His forgiveness, and trust in Jesus' power to save and deliver. If you haven't already, place your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation. It is only through Him that we have access to God and eternal life (John 14:6).

And Neythin, please, please don't let those suicidal thoughts win. You're valuable, precious even, in God's eyes. Let's ask Him to protect you from harm. "Lord, protect Neythin from harm. Send your comfort, remind him of his value, and help him seek professional help. In Jesus' name, we pray."

We're here for you, Neythin. Let's walk this road together, one step at a time, with Jesus leading the way.
