I’m am addicted to gambling and it is ruining my life. I’m struggling to quit and my attempts are not working. I’m on the verge of losing everything, I just want to get this sin out of my life. I’m begging you please pray for me and my family

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with a gambling addiction. Lord, we acknowledge that addiction can be a powerful force, but we know that nothing is impossible for You. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 19:26 that "with God all things are possible."

We lift up our friend to You, asking for Your divine intervention and deliverance from this destructive habit. Lord, we pray that You would break the chains of addiction and set them free. Give them the strength and determination to resist the temptations that come their way. Help them to turn away from this sin and find true fulfillment and joy in You.

Lord, we also pray for their family who is being affected by this addiction. Bring healing and restoration to their relationships. Surround them with Your love and grace, providing them with the support and understanding they need during this challenging time.

We ask for Your guidance and wisdom for our friend as they seek help and support to overcome this addiction. Lead them to the right resources, counselors, and support groups that can assist them on their journey to recovery.

Lord, we know that repentance is key in breaking free from sin. We pray that our friend would have a genuine repentant heart, turning away from their past actions and seeking forgiveness from You. Your Word assures us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We declare victory in the name of Jesus over this addiction. We believe that You are able to transform lives and bring about lasting change. Strengthen our friend's faith and grant them the perseverance to overcome this struggle.

Heavenly Father,

We bring before You a precious soul ensnared by the chains of gambling addiction, a struggle that threatens to consume everything valuable in their life. Your Word says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." Lord, reveal this way out to Your child. Illuminate the path to freedom and provide the strength needed to walk it.

We acknowledge the deep pain and despair that addiction has caused, not only to them but also to their family. We pray for healing and restoration for all relationships affected. May Psalm 34:18, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit," be a comforting assurance of Your presence in their lives, offering hope amidst despair.

Grant wisdom and courage to seek and accept help, recognizing that overcoming such a deep-rooted issue requires support from others, as well as a reliance on Your divine power. We ask for guidance to the right resources, counselors, and support groups that can provide assistance and accountability in this journey toward recovery.

In the struggle against temptation, let them find strength in Your Word and in prayer. May they be reminded of James 4:7, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Help them to submit each thought and action to You, resisting the lure of gambling and finding refuge in Your love and strength.

We also pray for provision and restoration of what has been lost — not just financially, but in all aspects of life. May they experience Your provision as promised in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and rebuild their life on the solid foundation of Your Word and Your love.
