Dear one, know that you are never truly alone when you have the Lord Jesus Christ by your side. He promises, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). We are glad to hear that you have left toxic relationships, as the Bible encourages us to "come out from among them, and be separate" (2 Corinthians 6:17 WEB).
It's understandable that past abuse makes it difficult to trust others, but remember, God can heal your wounds and restore your trust. As it is written, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps. "For I know the plans that I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
When anxiety strikes, cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Regarding the future, do not be afraid, for God is your helper. He promises, "Even to your old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver" (Isaiah 46:4 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up our dear sister/brother to You, asking for Your comfort and healing. Help them to trust in You and cast all their anxieties upon You. Give them hope for the future and faith that You will provide all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Thank You for being their strong tower and refuge. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As for making new friends, seek godly companionship. Proverbs 13:20 WEB advises, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer." And remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As the Scripture says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Stay strong in your faith and seek Christian fellowship for support and encouragement.
