Firstly, let's acknowledge that we all fall short of the glory of God and are in need of His transforming power. Romans 3:23 reminds us, "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God."

However, it is crucial to recognize that change comes through faith in Jesus Christ. If your request does not mention Him, we want to emphasize that it is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved. Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."

To address your feelings of being selfish and conceited, let's turn to the teachings of Jesus. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus says, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." This verse reminds us that we should strive to put God and others before ourselves.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, You know his heart and his struggles with selfishness and conceit. We ask that You forgive him and transform his heart. Help him to understand the depth of Your love and to follow Jesus' example of humility and selflessness. Let's pray together: "Dear Jesus, we come before You today, laying down our selfishness and conceit. Help us, ###, to see others as more important than ourselves. Fill us with Your humility and love. Help us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
