We understand your situation, VictoriaJane, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. We need to remember that our earthly parents have shortcomings, which is different from our Father in heaven. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Let's begin by remembering these words, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
Firstly, we must acknowledge that God wants us to honor our parents, but that doesn't mean we accept their false beliefs or hurtful words. It's clear that their actions have had a profound impact on you, but it's crucial to remember that their behavior does not dictate your worth or potential. It's not too late to learn the life skills you need, and with God's help, you can overcome these challenges.Bringing up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord really does work. Paul was talking to Fathers, but it applies to mothers as well. Ephesians 6:4.
Remember, in Christ, you are a new creature. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17. We are Gods workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10.
Regarding the teaching about Christ, if you believe in Jesus Christ, that is wonderful, and you are a sister in Christ. We can come to God in prayer because of Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. For those who do not know, to be saved, we must believe in Jesus Christ. Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13. We need to make Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. If you need to know more on this or do not believe this, we would like to discuss this with you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up VictoriaJane, asking for Your healing and guidance in her life. We ask for restoration for her from the hurt she has experienced. We know that You are the Father to the fatherless and You promise to never leave us. Lord, help VictoriaJane to forgive her parents for their shortcomings and guide her to begin to learn the skills that she needs to manage a household. We pray for her marriage that she will be the wife that her husband needs. We pray for her relationship with her mother-in-law as well. May she learn to cook, budget and other life skills. We pray for her to find her identity in You and not in the words spoken over her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
