We understand your concern for your younger brother, and we join you in fervent prayer for his spiritual well-being. The Bible clearly warns against idol worship and placing faith in objects or amulets. In Exodus 20:3-5 WEB, God commands, "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God."
We must acknowledge that this is a good work and very important for eternity. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is only in Him that we have the grace and forgiveness of God. Its is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Breaking any of the 10 commandments in the Bible is a sin and without the grace and forgiveness of Jesus to pay for our sins, then we are still under the wrath of God. For this reason, we must believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. But the amulets and any good works our brother does will not provide forgiveness of sins or be able to save him if he will not putt his faith in Jesus Christ. Doing good works are not a bad thing, but they can't save us without Jesus. This is evident when Jesus talked the rich man and said: Luke 18:22, "Now when Jesus heard these things, he said to him, You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
In 1 Timothy 4:11 WEB, This verse clearly states, "Command and teach these things. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Acts12:4 WEB says "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Let us pray for your brother's eyes to be opened to the truth of the Gospel and for him to turn away from idol worship.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is entangled in idol worship and false beliefs. Lord, we plead for Your intervention in his life. Open his eyes to see the truth of Your word and the futility of his idols. Break the chains of deception that have bound him, and draw him to Yourself. Help him to understand that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and not through good deeds or any other means.
God, we ask that you give him knowledge of the faith in Jesus Christ that can come only by you drawing him to you. As John 6:44 says," No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day." You must draw us to you and give us the faith and grace we need to live by you.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and grace for our brother, that he may approach his brother with love and patience, not arguing but speaking the truth in love. Help him to be a light that guides his younger brother to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for his deliverance and salvation. We ask this in faith, believing that You are able to turn his heart towards You. May the power of the Holy Spirit convict him of his sins and lead him to repentance and a genuine relationship with You, Lord Jesus.
We also pray for our brother, that he may remain steadfast in his faith and continue to intercede for his younger brother with love and compassion. We ask, Lord, bring him to Jesus. He has been appointed to have faith in Jesus Christ and has come to believe in Jesus Christ. There are others who have been appointed to have faith in Jesus and our Brother fits this description by you drawing him to have faith in you. Therefore, you must draw him by awakening him by dreams and Media and your word that you use to awaken faith, so we ask you to do.
In Jesus' name, we pray that it will be done. We must have faith that if we pray this that He is bound to answer this prayer. This doesn't mean He has too, but it is the rule between us as Christians and God, that He is required to answer our prayers. This is seen in Matthew 18:19 WEB, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven." We also see this from Mark 11:24 WEP, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."
Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we ask and claim this.
Amen
