We join you in prayer, asking God to guide you and confirm your path. Remember, God knows you intimately, even better than you know yourself. As it is written in Psalm 139:1-4 WEB, "Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but, behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether."
Trusting in our feelings can be deceiving at times, as the heart can be desperately wicked as stated in Jeremiah 17:9 WEB, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?" Therefore, we must test our feelings and intuitions against the Word of God, not simply rely on what our hearts tell us. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Instead of seeking a sign, seek God's will through prayer, fasting, and studying His Word. Signs can be misinterpreted or misunderstood. God wants us to walk by faith, not by sight. As we grow in our relationship with Him, He will guide us and confirm our path according to His will. In Matthew 16:4 WEB, Jesus said, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonah."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in prayer. We are praying for You to reveal Yourself to them so they know know who they are in You. We ask that You guide them and make their paths straight. Help them to trust in You and not lean on their own understanding. Give them wisdom and discernment to know Your will. Help them to know You are worthy of trust and that You are always working for their good. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
As you seek God's will, be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, and remember that His desire is for you to trust Him and walk in His ways.
