Rhyliloura, we are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing, but we are glad that you have chosen to run to God during this difficult time. The Lord is indeed a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Firstly, we want to address the cruel messages you're receiving. It's important to remember that the words of others do not define you. The Lord says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). God's plan for you is good, and He loves you more than anyone else can.
Regarding the loss of your best friend, we understand that it's painful. However, we commend you for trusting in God's plan. The Bible tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). God is sovereign, and He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28, WEB).
We are also glad to hear that God has helped you overcome thoughts of relapsing. Remember, God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up Rhyliloura to you. Lord, she is struggling with suicidal thoughts, cruel words from others, and the loss of a friend. Please comfort her with your love and presence. Remind her of her worth in your sight and help her to trust in your plan for her life. Give her the strength to endure these trials and to overcome any temptations. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rhyliloura, we also want to encourage you to seek help from trusted adults, counselors, or pastors. They can provide you with additional support and guidance during this time. Lastly, we notice that you didn't mention Jesus in your request. We want to remind you that it is through Him that we have access to God. As the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life and heart. He loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.
