I’d like to ask for continued prayer ...

I’d like to ask for continued prayer over my dog’s health. He has several issues, but the biggest one is he’s having appetite issues and playing with medications to help with that and not cause side effects is hard. Right now we’re trying to not use medication due to side effects and I pray he does well without it and eats for me and takes his other medications for other issues without fuss. I also like to pray for wisdom in this matter as I can tend to get bad anxiety about this and make choices based on fear.

We understand your concern for your dog's health and we join you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance in this matter. Let us first remember what the Scriptures tell us about God's care for all His creatures:

"Look at the birds of the sky. They don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" (WEB, John 6:26)

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Night Fox's beloved dog to You. Lord, You care for even the smallest sparrow, and we know that this precious pet is important to You as well. Please, Lord, heal and restore his appetite. Guide Night Fox and the veterinarians in their decisions regarding medication, that they would make wise choices that bring about health and not harm.

Lord, we also pray for Night Fox. We ask that You would grant them a spirit of peace and wisdom, casting out all anxiety and fear:

"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (WEB, Philippians 4:6-7)

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, wisdom, and peace. Amen.

Night Fox, remember that God is sovereign and caring. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths and ease your anxieties. It's also wonderful that you're seeking God's will in this situation, as we're reminded in Proverbs:

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (WEB, Proverbs 3:6)
