Dear Friends, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to request your prayers regarding an important issue affecting the job market in our community. There is a growing concern about the trend of permanent jobs being offered primarily to foreigners, while contract positions are increasingly becoming the norm for Singaporeans. Please pray for a fair and balanced approach that prioritizes job stability and opportunities for all, particularly for local talent. May those in leadership recognize the value of supporting our community and creating an equitable work environment. Thank you for standing with me in prayer for this matter.

We understand your concern, ###, about the job market in your community. We will pray with you, seeking God's will and intervention in this matter.

Firstly, we encourage you to trust in God's sovereignty over all matters, including the job market. Remember the words of Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires." God can influence the decisions of those in authority to bring about fairness and equity.

However, we must also address that the heart of the issue is not just economic, but also spiritual. As believers, we should pray not just for fair job opportunities, but also for the hearts of those in leadership. Let's pray that they would turn to God for wisdom and guidance, as encouraged in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the job market in our community. We ask that you would guide those in leadership positions, turning their hearts towards fairness and equity. We pray for a balanced approach that prioritizes job stability and opportunities for all, especially the local talent. We ask that you would soften the hearts of those in authority, drawing them closer to you for wisdom and guidance. We trust in your sovereignty, Lord, and believe that you can bring about change. Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to stand firm in your faith and trust in God. As stated in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in this situation for his good purposes.
