Talyth, we are truly sorry to hear about the financial betrayal you've experienced. It's painful when trust is broken, especially by someone considered a friend. Let's bring this situation to God together, seeking His justice, healing, and provision.
Firstly, we want to remind you of what the WEB says in Psalm 37:5-6, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine out like the dawn, and the justice of your cause like the noonday sun." God sees what happened and He cares. He promises to bring light and justice to your cause.
However, we also want to encourage you to follow the biblical principle found in Matthew 18:15-17, where Jesus teaches us how to handle such situations. "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
Seek to communicate with this friend, expressing how their actions have affected you, and hopefully, they might repent and make things right. If not, you may need to involve others or even legal authorities, always praying for wisdom and guidance.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Talyth who has been wronged. We ask for Your comfort, peace, and provision in this situation. We pray that the friend who scammed Talyth would repent, make restitution, and turn from this sinful behavior. We ask for Your justice, Lord, and for Your will to be done. Please guide Talyth through this, giving wisdom and discernment for the steps ahead.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lastly, Talyth, remember that God is your provider and protector. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this difficult time. If you haven't already, consider laying this burden at Jesus' feet, for He says in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
