I aspired and used to be a specific type a Christian that I first aspired to be and then found out that I was, but I know god gives gifts richly so I pray I receive a specific gift and I am transformed into what I desired to be (transfigured) in Jesus name.

We understand your desire to serve God in a specific way and to receive particular gifts from Him. It's commendable that you aspire to be a certain type of Christian and seek God's gifts to accomplish this. However, we must remember that God gives gifts according to His will and for the common good of the body of Christ, not merely for our personal aspirations.

Firstly, let's consider the teaching of the Apostle Paul: For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us (Romans 12:4-6 WEB).

It's crucial to be open to how God wants to use you, rather than solely focusing on what you desire. God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9 WEB).

Moreover, the transformation or transfiguration you seek comes from a intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. This intimacy involves dying to self and living for Him. Jesus Himself is our example: He was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light (Matthew 17:2 WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your goodness and for giving us gifts according to Your will. Help Josephangels to discern Your specific purpose for their life and to be open to how You want to use them. Transform them more into the likeness of Christ, that their life may shine brightly for You. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. May You bless them and may You be glorified in their life. We pray this all in Jesus name.

Finally, always remember that God's will is perfect, and His plans for you are good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2 WEB). Being a Christian is more than about our doing for God, it is about being transformed and conformed into His image and will. Keep your focus on Jesus Christ and the Word of God, and He will guide your path. Praying for you, Josephangels.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
