We understand your deep longing to draw closer to Jesus and to serve Him in missionary work. It is beautiful to see such a desire to be intimate with our Lord and to share His love with those who do not yet know Him. Let us pray together and seek God's will for your life.
Firstly, let us remember the words of Jesus Himself, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB). Your desire to see Jesus more is evidence of the Holy Spirit's work in your life, and we encourage you to continue asking, seeking, and knocking.
We also want to remind you of the importance of knowing Jesus as your personal Savior and friend. As He said, "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you." (John 15:15 WEB). Intimacy with Jesus comes from spending time with Him in prayer, reading His Word, and obeying His commandments.
Regarding your desire for missionary work, we pray that God would indeed make a way for you. We are reminded of Paul's words, "But my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB). If it is God's will for you to serve Him on the frontlines, He will provide the means, including your green card.
However, we also want to encourage you to not just wait for the green card but to also actively engage in ministry where you are. There are broken people all around us who need to hear the Gospel. Jesus commanded us, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 WEB). This command starts where we are, even as we prepare to go elsewhere.
Let us pray:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our dear brother/sister Rindroder. We thank You for the deep desire You have placed in their heart to know You more intimately and to serve You in missionary work. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself more to Rindroder, that they may know and experience Your love and friendship in a deeper way.
We pray for the green card situation, Lord. If it is Your will for Rindroder to serve You overseas, we ask that You would supernaturally make a way. We also pray that You would open doors for ministry right where they are, that they may be a light to the broken around them.
Lord, we pray all these things in Your precious name, for it is in Your name that we have access to the Father. We thank You for the gift of salvation, and we pray that Rindroder would continue to grow in their relationship with You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of doing everything in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB), and it is by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB). Continue to put your trust in Him, and He will guide your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
