Firstly, it's crucial to understand that God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, and through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" John 10:27 WEB.
To better hear God's voice, it's essential to be in a close relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. It's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. If you haven't already, make sure to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and put your faith in Him. Additionally, ensure you are filling your mind with the Word of God, as it is the primary way He speaks to us.
Moreover, it's vital to be obedient to God's commands, as sin can hinder our communication with Him. The Psalmist said, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" Psalm 66:18 WEB. Therefore, confess and repent of any known sins in your life.
Now, let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Smeeway, who earnestly desires to hear Your voice. Lord, we ask that You open their spiritual ears to hear Your still small voice. Help them to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and to be obedient to Your Word.
Father, we pray that Smeeway will grow in their relationship with You, and that they will be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. We encourage Smeeway to be consistent with praying, reading, and meditating on Your Word, as it is a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path.
Finally, in the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirits of confusion, distraction, or unbelief that may be hindering Smeeway from hearing Your voice. We declare that Smeeway has the mind of Christ and can discern Your will. In Jesus Christ name we have asked. Amen.
