We understand your desire to be fruitful and we will pray for you, but we want to encourage you to consider what the Bible says about fruitfulness. In Psalm 1:3, it is written "He is like a tree planted by streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper." This is a description of the one who delights in the law of the Lord.
We understand that you may desire a biological child to be fruitful, but as believers, we are called to fruitfulness by the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law." That is a good and right desire. As it says in Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
We are also admonished to be fruitful in the knowledge of Christ in Colossians 1:9-11: "For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, do not cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;"
We are praying that you can be fruitful in your knowledge of Christ. We pray that the cyst does not impede your physical fruitfulness if that is God's will. We do not know the future, but we trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please pray with us:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and ask that you would work in this precious child's life. We ask for your will in her life. We ask that you will heal her of her infirmity of the ovarian cyst. We pray that you will help her be fruitful, not just physically, but more importantly, spiritually. We pray that she will become a faithful follower of Christ.
We pray for her future husband and pray that he will be a godly man and that they will raise godly children together. We ask that your will be done in her life. Please give her your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We would be interested in your future husband as well. If he is not a believer, we pray that he will come to faith in Christ.
