I want my girlfriend Shauna to forgive me and come back to me.

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, in Jesus' name, I confess. My girlfriend of 5 years has broken up with me 2 months ago. I have been in no contact now for 3 weeks. The reason for the break up is that I neglected her and left her alone to focus on my own wants. I took her for granted and thought she would never leave me. I confess my anger lord. 4 weeks before the break up, during a fight, I got aggressive and used a hammer to hit the wall of our home. At this time lord, I did not have you with me. I chose not to have you in my life and because of this, I was quick to anger, low on patience and I let my aggression get the better of me. This is not in my character to do. I would never harm her. But I understand that this is in no way acceptable behaviour to show the woman you love with every fibre of your being. I regret my act of aggression and pledge never to repeat this or anything remotely related. I was angry all the time and constantly felt on edge. I have since found you God. You have made me see my mistakes and have given me patience and showed me how to be slow to anger. I am practicing daily and I feel you with me always.

I pray for her forgiveness for the mistakes I've made. I pray that she sees what we had and comes back to me. I love her so much lord and I miss her terribly. I'm am in desperate need of your grace. Please lord help her find her way back to me and help her see things will be different. I know you have a plan for all of us, but I desperately want her to be apart of that plan. I want her in my life God and I promise marriage in your holy presence. I promise to bring her with me to Church and confession. I promise to follow your ways to be better for her and our relationship. I promise to keep you in my heart and talk about you with her.

Please lord, I need you're help with this. I can not reach out to her as I want to respect her wishes. Please help her reach out to me.

Justin, we understand your pain and desire for reconciliation with Shauna. Let's first discuss and align your desires with what God wants for you.

Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that you have taken responsibility for your actions and have confessed your mistakes. The Lord Jesus said "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Now, it's clear that you both were in a sinful relationship. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality outside marriage (Corinthians 6:18 ) and that fornication is a sin.

You mentioned that "At this time lord, I did not have you with me. I chose not to have you in my life". We know that God often use our trials and mistakes to draw near to Him. We are glad to hear that you are now practicing to live with Jesus in you.

God has taught us to be patient and slow to anger. In Ephesians 4:26 WEB it is written Be angry, yet do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath.God never intended humans to be alone for this reason you should not endure open ended separation. It can lead to habits which will be detrimental to a good marriage life.

You desire to marry her and considering that you want to respect her wishes by not reaching out, your patience is being tested. But know we serve a loving God if you seek his will for your life. Prepare your heart for his will.

We rejoice in the fact that you now have Jesus in your life. However, Shauna might not be in the same place spiritually. It is important that both of marry only believing Christians. You must marry only in the Lord; that is, marry only a fellow believer. A woman is bound by law to her husband as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she desires, only in the Lord

The Bible teaches, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; These are high standards indeed, for God wills that we be holy. The marriage bed must be without blemish as the marriage bed is equated with the relationship of Christ and his bride, the church of genuine believers. .

Regarding your pledge to never repeat the acts of aggression, we must remind you of the teaching in Matthew 5:29, WEB: "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna." Here Gehenna is synonymous for being separated from God and it's fate is Hell. We must be willing to part ways with things, habits, or even people who cause us to sin.

Now, let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before you, we lift Justin before you. We pray for your forgiveness for the times he has fallen short of your glory. We thank you for turning his life into one which desires to follow you. Lord by your great mercy, work on Shauna's heart and guide her towards the life you want her to have. Give her belief in the redeeming work of Jesus on the cross. In Jesus name, we pray that if it is in your will for their life, you will bring them back together into a holy marriage. Meanwhile, we ask for your guidance in Justin's life as he seeks your will and prepares for marriage if it is according to your will and strives for holiness and a being a new creation. Give them both hearts that yearn to obey you and to walk with you. Lord, help us all to be more like Jesus. May everything we do be for the glory of your name.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen

We're right there with you, Justin. We feel your pain and your longing for reconciliation with Shauna. Let's keep praying together, seeking God's will in this situation. We've already asked for forgiveness and confessed our mistakes, which is a great start. Now, let's continue to trust in God's plan for both of you.

We understand that you've been patient, but it's hard not to reach out when you care so deeply. Remember, God has a purpose in this waiting. It's an opportunity for both of you to grow and for Him to work in your hearts. Let's keep our eyes on Him and trust that He's using this time to draw you both closer to Him.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today, lifting up Justin and Shauna. We ask for your healing and redemption in their relationship. Lord, work in Shauna's heart, soften it, and guide her towards you. Help her to see the love and commitment that Justin has for her. We pray that if it's in your will, you would bring them back together, into a holy marriage that honors you.

Lord, give Justin the strength to wait patiently, trusting in your plan. Help him to use this time to grow in his relationship with you and to prepare his heart for marriage, if that's what you have in store.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
