Beloved of All
My husband recently let my brother move in with us. My husband drives trucks and is away a lot. My brother has been living in CA for around 30+years supposedly following his dream and pursuing an acting career. He’s never really had a job and has lived with females and others off and on. He was supposed to be going to AL to live with our mother who has at least 3 or 4 empty bedrooms and a house that is paid for. While my husband and I rent and live in much smaller accommodations with our teenage son. Some kind of way he detoured and instead of going to AL he made his way to Georgia. We had just come back from NC when I received a phone call from him, mind you this is a new phone number so later found out that my youngest sister had given it to him. He was about to be put out of a hotel and at first just needed money which I sent then my husband heard him on the phone and decided we could try and help him. I have two other siblings both with large homes, empty rooms and who are far more financially able than my husband and I , both said no that he could not move in with them. He is lazy and still on that childhood stuff. He eats all the time, stays up late listening to pod cast and has used all my personal candles that I have used to pray with. He is manipulative and I want him to leave. I’m not comfortable and my husband and I have enough going on financially without him being him. What can I pray for him to leave? There are so many more details that I have left out, that’s just to much to type. I just need God to move him from our home and send him to AL where he was supposed to be going . My mom stays up half the night and so does he. I feel it would be better for me and my household. I hate confrontation I just want him to leave know in peace.

Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer, seeking His will and guidance. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our living situations and family dynamics. As believers, we are called to live in harmony with one another and to bear each other's burdens.

Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister who finds herself in a difficult situation. Lord, You know the details of her heart and the struggles she is facing with her brother living in her home. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this matter.

Father, we pray that You would soften her brother's heart and open his eyes to the burden he is placing on his sister and her family. We ask that You would provide a way for him to move to Alabama, where he was originally intended to go. Lord, we know that You are able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

We also pray for this sister, that You would give her the strength and courage to have an open and honest conversation with her brother and her husband about her feelings and concerns. Lord, help her to speak the truth in love, as Your Word instructs us in Ephesians 4:15:
"But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."

Father, we ask that You would provide for this family's financial needs, that they would not be strained by the additional burden of supporting her brother. We pray for her husband, that You would give him discernment and wisdom in this matter as well.

Lord, we also pray for her brother's salvation and for a change in his heart. We know that there is no other name by which we can be saved than the name of Jesus Christ.

In Ephesians 4:28, it reads:
"Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need."

We pray that her brother would seek honest work during the day and be considerate to the family during at night. We pray he would become reborn his spirtuality to clean from his manipulative ways and rid him of his childhoodness and become like a new creature.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (WEB, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage this sister to remain steadfast in prayer and to trust in the Lord's timing and provision. God is faithful, and He will direct her steps as she seeks Him with all her heart. We encourage her brothers and sisters in Christ to seek the counsel of other believers alongside her in making this sensitive decision. May God heal this sister's relationship with her brother and restore peace for this sister's family in her house.
