Firstly, we should be clear about the biblical perspective on relationships. The goal should be marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible.

As it is written in Genesis 2:24, For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

Also, 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

This verse emphasizes the importance of being equally yoked in faith, which you're already considering by seeking a Christian companion.

Now, let's address your tears and desperation. We want to remind you that God cares about your feelings and He has a plan for you. Psalm 56:8 says, You have kept track of my wandering. You've kept all my tears in your bottle. Haven't you recorded it in your book?

God is preparing you for His good, pleasing, and perfect will. Romans 12:2 says, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Jamie. Lord, You know his heart's desire for a companion. We pray that You will guide him to the woman You have prepared for him, in Your timing. Help him to trust in Your plan, and to grow in his faith as he waits. Comfort him in his tears, and remind him of Your unfailing love. We also pray Jamie knows he can only be saved through Jesus Christ. There is no other way to be saved.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Jamie. God is working everything out for your good because you love Him and you're called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. Trust in His timing and be patient. Meanwhile, continue to grow in your faith and live a life that honors God.
