I want a better relationship with GOD ...

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who desires a closer relationship with You. Lord, they seek to know how to pray and to feel confident that You hear their prayers. Your Word says in Matthew 6:9, "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." We ask that You guide them in their prayer life, teaching them to speak to You with an open heart, just as a child speaks to their loving Father.

Father, Your Word also assures us in 1 John 5:14-15, "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us." Help our friend to trust that You hear their prayers and that You are always near. May they find comfort in knowing that prayer is simply a conversation with You, and that You cherish every word spoken from their heart.

Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them in their prayers and drawing them closer to You each day. May they experience Your presence and love in a profound way, growing in faith and understanding of Your will.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

  1. Address God: Begin by addressing God in a way that reflects your relationship with Him. Jesus taught us to pray, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name" (Matthew 6:9). This shows reverence and acknowledges His holiness.
  2. Thanksgiving and Praise: Spend some time thanking God for His blessings and praising Him for who He is. Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."
  3. Confession: Confess your sins and ask for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
  4. Petition and Intercession: Bring your requests to God, both for yourself and for others. Philippians 4:6 encourages us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
  5. Listening: Take time to listen to God. Prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue. God often speaks to us through His Word. Spend time reading the Bible and meditating on it.
  6. Closing: End your prayer in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator. John 14:13-14 says, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."
Here is a simple prayer to help you get started:

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace. I praise You for Your greatness and faithfulness. I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Please guide me and help me to live according to Your will. I lift up my needs and the needs of others to You, trusting in Your provision. Speak to me through Your Word and help me to listen to Your voice. I pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

Psalm 37:4:
Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33
: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth and fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always respect, obey and honor You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
